The Problem
The corporate Datacenter operated with fragmented hardware, accumulating over 15 physical servers with varying levels of obsolescence that consumed excessive energy, generated critical heat, and represented administrative nightmares in terms of support, licensing, and single points of failure.
The Solution
I spearheaded the P2V (Physical-to-Virtual) consolidation project, orchestrating the progressive migration of system roles, databases, and files to powerful High Availability clusters operating under VMware vSphere and Hyper-V. This was complemented by redesigning the backup strategy, abandoning local methods for unified repositories in Veeam Backup & Replication.
