Led the unification of multiple accounts from an Exchange on-premise environment to Microsoft 365, containerizing critical services (SMTP) in Docker to mitigate vulnerabilities and meet audit standards.
The Problem
The company maintained over 200 corporate accounts on an on-premise Exchange email environment that was reaching its end-of-life and represented critical security and stability risks for B2B communications. Additionally, an urgent solution was required for the SMTP service, which was constantly vulnerable to attacks and SPAM saturation.
The Solution
A large-scale migration to the Microsoft 365 cloud environment was planned and executed. To mitigate threats to the mass email and ERP notification services, we chose to isolate and containerize the SMTP service using Docker on Linux servers, creating an effective barrier between the internal network and internet outlets.
